I'm buying a 1959 Cadillac hearse in the future

I'm theorizing that maybe I could gut the motor but keep the shell frame and exterior but completely replace the motor with one that's modern. I'm obviously not doing this yet but I just want to know if it's actually possible(i'm turning it into the ecto-1.)
