Do week long twitter limitations normally end with the last 7 or so hours being full bans?

So I got a week long limitation for making a comment that in no way broke any rules. But after a day of not being able to do anything and waiting to hear back I just removed my comment. I took the week long limit which has SUCKED because through all of what has been going on I couldn't support, like, or follow anyone involved in what is currently going on.

I have been saving tabs of all the people I want to follow and support. Suddenly, with less than 7 hours left, all my tabs have reverted to "You have been limited. You have : 6 hours XX minutes left."

What gives? I haven't been able to do anything for the last week. But I have been able to read and look at stuff. But now when I click continue I just get brought back to the limitations count down. All my tabs of the people I planned to follow have reverted to this. WTF twitter?! I didn't even break a rule in the first place I just got mass reported by trump supporters and yall took over 24 hours to respond so I took the limitation instead but WTF?!
