Going to a protest when you have RA?
I live very close to Minneapolis, the site of George Floyd’s murder and there are protests organized each day. This cause is very important to me and I really want to join in on a peaceful protest/march.
Problem is that I’m not sure how safe it is for me to attend due to COVID. I’m on methotrexate injections. I know I obviously would have to wear a mask if I did attend, but I can’t control whether other people at the protest do.
My rheumatologist hasn’t really given me a straight answer about this. She’s just told me to continue taking methotrexate.
Is going to a protest way too risky for me to do?
