Joining with a break in Service and a VA Disability Rating

I did one enlistment and have been out of the Navy for a few years. I’m still within my IRR time and am trying to join the reserves with a VA disability rating. I’ve been in contact with a reserve recruiter for over a month now and am just playing the waiting game. I’ve completed all the paperwork and given her all the documents that she requested. Has anyone in a similar situation already done this and can tell me how long the process takes? I’m not ignorant to the fact that everything in the Navy moves slow, I’m just curious what to expect.
