Best BodyArmor for Women?

Hi!

I wandered over here from /Preppers and wanted to know what body armor you would recommend for a female? I'm looking for something durable & well-made - just to have in case SHTF. I'm about 5'2 and a smaller build.

Also, are bulletproof vests legal in the US? (If there's already a thread on this, kindly LMK.)
