What Game Gear games are worth playing through today?
With Sega's recent bizarre Game Gear Micro announcement, I realized I've never actually played any Game Gear at all, even though I have a deep love for both Sega and handheld games. With that in mind, what game would you recommend for a newcomer to the platform to play that provide a unique experience? By unique experience, I'm referring to games that served as sort of watered down conversions of their superior console counterparts, like Columns or Gunstar Heroes. I feel like Sega always marketed it as a way to play versions of Genesis games on the go, but I'm curious about games that were designed as proper handheld games in that Nintendo handled Mario and Zelda on Game Boy, offering unique experiences. What are the must plays for the system? Any hidden gems?
