Is my cat taking fall damage by jumping down from a 1.8m height several times a day?

I recently built a tunnel network for my cat using old boxes. She's always loved jumping up onto my 1.8m (5'9") cabinet, so that's where I set it up. She happily spends most of her time up there now, but there's a pretty loud thud every time she jumps down. I put a chair beside the cabinet and, while she uses it to get up, she still jumps straight to the ground when coming down.

Is there any chance that jumping down from that height several times a day could cause long-term damage? If so, how can I train her to jump down onto the chair first?
