Dead by Daylight Mobile perks

As I understand when you level up your killer or your survivor you get a random perk. For some reason though every single perk I get is a general killer perk and no killer specific perks. Is it supposed to be like this? Is there something I need to to do to get killer specific perks, or am I just really unlucky?
