If I buy playstation plus on my dad's account, will I be able to use plus on mine?

I registered my account under my actual age, and so I can't add a payment method to buy ps plus on my account. So I'm wondering if I buy it from my dad's will the ps plus work on my account, or will I just be wasting my money?
