Ancient Armour

For those who have done the new quest you may have found this item, for those who haven't it can be obtained by going north of the Icyene Graveyard and clicking on the mud mound. I have been trying to find any uses for it by going around Darkmeyer and to bob in lumbridge to see if he would repair it, but am yet to find anything. I have heard about someone getting something called the frostwalker boots which allow people to get the unreachable coffin the hallowed sepulcha, myy theory is it used to use to make thse frostwalker boots to get to the unreachable coffin in the Hallowed Sepulcha.

Hoping this starts a discussion on what this is for resulting in finding its purpose, thanks for reading. P.S. there is a note that also comes with this item but can't figure out whether that gives a hint on what to do with the armour.
