Hey looking for advice

I will mostly use chrome, I often used multiple 20+ tabs and PDFs and other programs open. I don't really heavily use the lap top for gaming, engineering program nor photo shop but I do sometimes. So I need a good dependable computer that will occasionally be used for more than my usual use. I'm thinking 12 GB of RAM, i7 or an equivalent core, with at least 400+ SSD should be sufficient. In terms of specs I can easily look that up but based on reviews it's obvious that reality is different then what presented. Would anyone have a good recommendation? My budget is optimally under 1000, the lower the better, I like to get the most bang out of my money. Thank you in advance!
