!Need help with custom controlls! PS4

So ive always played with tanks on the veteran button setting and thats good but the repair with L3 is making fear for the stick to wear out and it honestly feels bad to hold the stick down. I tried to make custom buttons same as veteran but change self-repair to circle and it looked good on paper changing the other buttons to match the veteran settings, but somehow the vehicle for example turns left when i aim the turret to left side. I have tried to change all the necessary buttons to avoid that but i dont understand what makes it still turn the way where i aim. Id really appreciate the veteran setting while self-repairing with circle or instead of holding down L3 Anyone know how to fix that? Is there others that have changed the button mappings?
