CMV: the black lives matters movement is being squandered in favor of the symptoms of the underlying issue: education.

racism, police brutality, etc. are a problem, yes but they’re a symptom of an underlying problem which is unequal access to education.

If the schools in Harlem, SE DC, west Baltimore, East Chicago were as good as their suburban counterpart we wouldn’t see as much crime, brutality, and thus racism. I don’t think many folks understand that high crime, police brutality etc are a direct result of this education disparity.

A movement this large has A TON of potential but in my opinion it’s misdirected.
