19M. My gf suffered a bad case of clitoral cutting last year, by accident she claims, and I am wondering what options might be available to remedy this.

Last year, my current gf was with another partner and she suffered a terrible sexual experience. Her partner was "rough with his hands" so to speak and apparently had very sharp nails and ended up essentially cutting her clitoris in two. She described this as an excruciating pain, an incredibly bloody experience, and it somewhat compromises our sexual life in a way. I have to be especially careful, as the last thing I'd want to do is hurt her in any way, especially not that way. She says she's content with the problem, but I can tell it causes her a huge amount of discomfort. She doesn't get any pleasure at all from masturbation anymore because of this, and I feel extremely bad for her being in this spot.
