A headphone amp would bring any benefit for these fairly basic headphones?

I have sennheiser HD 568, I didn’t use them back then but I took them out this quarantine. I use mainly my laptop streaming from Apple Music and occasionally Spotify as a source. Ever since I bought these back then I always wondered if a headphone amp would improve anything? (I think these sound great as is, but just curious).

Very different scenarios, but on your own opinion, if the choices were to buy an amp or save for the Sony XM4 (which probably sound wise will be very similar but with more functionalities) what would be a better use of the money?
