I don't have as much to say about this as my recent 2k, but I did want to share it. I got back into erging a few months back, and hit a 1k during the Concept2 spring sprints... I got 2:58.5, and that was without too much practice. I have rowed over 750k since then, and have gotten a bit better. I did 100cals for time for the WodProof Row Challenge a few weeks back, and averaged 1:25.2 for 920meters (I finished 100cals in 2:37), so I knew then I could crush my PB, and quite possible go sub 2:50.

Today, I started strong, but didn't keep up enough speed in the middle 500. I couldn't get my pace back below 1:25 on the last 250m, so I didn't break <2:50, but I did set a killer new PB, and look forward to getting even better. I now have all the number 1 spots in the US this season for my age group (30-39) for the shorter races, and I can't wait to start building a killer engine and getting better at the longer distances.
