I have a Question to the US-Firefighters

What are the normal callout-numbers for your volunteer Departments in a year? I know that these numbers can be a wide range. I wanna know what you would say is a normal VFD, were you wouldn't say, that it is very quiet or very busy. And at this point, maybe someone could just provide Information where I can get those Information myself. I couldn't find anything and as an European FF it is difficult to overlook the American system.

Edit: Thanks, for the answers. It seems like you guys have much more work, than we germans. The busiest VFD in Germany runs about 1400 calls (It's a single House and part of the Career and Volonteer mixed FD of our Capital Berlin and this is considered a very, busy house. Most VFD's run less then 300... So respect for your work.
