Can police brutality be framed as racist even when it is committed by minorities themselves?
This sub has gone private for a while to protest against racism and invite people to listen to black folks.
The mugshots of the killers of George Floyd have just been released, of the four police officers involved in the homicide one is black and one is asian yet this homicide is still framed as racist by many think tanks. On average there's a racist bias against minorities in the American justice system but is this enough to frame acts like this as racist even when minorities themselves commit such brutality? Where do we draw the line between racist + violent acts and just violent acts?
