Wtf is happening with my GPU

Troubleshooting

So I built my rig about a month ago, with a 3700x and EVGA BLACK 2080 Ti. Everything was fine and dandy until I booted up Valorant yesterday and as soon as I spawned in my PC insta-crashed. Straight to black screen. My GPU fans started going at 100% and wouldn't stop, so I just forced power down.

Well, I tried clearing the CMOS, but nothing happened. I couldn't even get into the BIOS -- I never got a display at all, only the fans whirring up to 100% on the GPU and staying there. but then randomly, after unplugging the GPU from the mobo and replugging it, and after randomly timing the power button to instantly stop and restart (instead of having to hold it down) at some point in the boot cycle, I got the "press F1 for setup" screen. I finally got to the bios. So I reset settings to default and then changed my boot order to have USB first (just in case). Then I actually got to the windows login screen! But once I put in my password it crashed before I could see the desktop.

At this point I'm just glad I could do anything, so I managed to boot into safe mode and uninstall msi afterburner, Valorant, and vanguard (valorant's anti cheat which is known to cause major issues in rare cases). This initially seemed to fix it, but then I could get into my desktop and use it for a couple minutes before it would randomly crash. So I decided to use those couple minutes to reinstall GPU drivers. Except when I restarted afterwards, I'm back to not even being able to get into the BIOS.

Oh yeah - when I tried to do the "fix windows startup error" wizard, my administrator account didn't show up, probably because I used Windows 10 Education to get free Windows through my school.

So... Wtf is going on? Do I need to RMA this puppy? I'm gonna try boot up from a windows 10 installation drive and repair from there. I'll update when I see what happens.
