Why I use Telegram instead of Discord or Kik

I've recently migrated all my roleplaying to Telegram. In my personal opinion, Telegram is an amazing platform, 100 times better than Kik, even though Kik is more popular. Here's why.

Losing roleplays on Kik

I would always get kicked out of Kik or try to use it on both my computer and phone. Whenever you relogin on Kik, it wipes all history. Great for privacy, not great when you have roleplays that have been going on for months

UI

I just find Telegram easier to navigate

Completely free

I've never seen an ad or paywall on Telegram. I started getting banner ads after the new owners took it, plus you have to pay for themes on Kik when you don't have to on Telegram

Compressionless image/video sending

Great for those who work with commissions or high detailed media files, able to send the full resolution of a file without compromising the quality.

Up to 200k person group chats.

Bots

While it's not as easy to find bots on Telegram, they do have some of the more popular bots that Kik does, like a dice roller for DnD style roleplays.

STICKERS

You can get customer sticker packs! Instead of having to send just a photo or preset selected gifs, you can create a pack of stickers from your own images. Here's mine!
