Minor chip on STi 6MT

My buddy wants to buy a transmission for a swap and this one was listed. The only issue he says is the chip and I'm telling him it's not big deal since it isn't in a stressed part of the bell housing. Am I wrong? Please let me know. I also know Subaru bellhousings are a PITA to replace but it's an option since it's not too expensive.
