Maintenance Help

So a friend of mine gave me an old Ugly Stik yesterday for my birthday it’s pretty nice I caught a massive carp on it but later that night it started squeaking when I went to reel it in. Does it just need cleaning? If so what/how do I clean it? Also, what’s the difference between Oil, Lube, Grease? Which should I go with and what would you recommend for this specific issue? Sorry if that’s confusing I’m kinda new to this
