Question, did anyone actually ask for armoured enemies?

This isn't the bait question it sounds like. I'm a casual player of this game, I thoroughly enjoy it but I can't spend too long in VR without getting motion sick so I'm only around 10 hours playtime. Acknowledging that I probably suck at this game compared to most I wanted to ask, was replacing all the enemies with armoured versions something people actually asked for? Cos for me it just sucked almost all the fun right out of the game and I'm rolling back the update as we speak, but I was wondering if this is the direction better players actually wanted the game to go or not?
