Interesting how the viewer's perception of a certain character's changes completely in ep4

spoilers within of course....

I'm talking about Queen Calanthe. In ep1 she's shown as a noble, brave, kind queen. She talks of mercy, she seems wise and to care for her people. She talks of Nilfgaard as some evil monsters.

But in ep4 we find out she's just a selfish, cruel, evil bloodthirsty tyrant with absolutely no good qualities. She lies, betrays every chance she can. She delights in the slaughter of innocents. Publicly humiliates the king of Nilfgaard and is responsible for everything that happens. And it turns out her army is even more cruel and sadistic.

Everyone else - Mousesack, the king Eist, the other nobles, are all shown to have honor. Not her. Right till the end she tries to kill Duny even after everything. She instantly becomes the worst character in the show.

I guess it makes sense she dies as a coward. What a terrible bitch.

Also, I haven't read the books and am only on ep5. So no spoilers please.
