Z620 ME 7->8 flash

With the help of the guide from u/HashsumCollision and Google I was able to mod a z620 with the new boot block. The software only method DOES NOT WORK. The boot block is protected even with all of the jumpers set.

I now have an E5-2648L v2 in the system along with (4) 32 GB LRDIMMs. Something to note is that E5-1600 series processors will not work with LRDIMMs.

I flashed the ME with the ME region of the stock bios image. This worked, but my system seems to be stuck in manufacturing mode. Anyone have any tips or advice on how to get it out? I tried using FPT to close manufacturing, but that doesn’t seem to work.
