Iceborn Cleaver Guide for season 10 (Draft)
SO Yesterday someone that's fairly new to Yorick asked me for the Iceborn Cleaver Guide I had on Mobafire as a Draft, so I decided to just publish it for now as a draft and updated the runes and builds, Remember to go to the Guide Page on Mobafire and Vote afterwards :D

Feel free to discuss it in this thread and help others out if you've been a Believer for a while or Use a lot of builds related to Black Cleaver and IBG. ( or just bash and bring up flawed arguements w.e. works)
What's Iceborn Cleaver?
This is more than just the build when you use Black Cleaver + Iceborn Gauntlet, It's mostly a playstyle preference, I used to Main Old Malzahar a lot back in Season 4 up to 6, so I loved Summoning pets and using them and playing around them, and this build is no different it's a Ghoul Based Build.
Why not Trinity Force?
First off, I've built the item before plenty of times, it's Good but considering our weak laning and scalings I decided to use this build I had on Illaoi on Yorick to see how it feels when I'm behind...And this is what I found:
- Yorick's Ghouls & Maiden only Scale with AD & HPTrinity Force Gives 25 AD & 250 HP, BC gives 40 AD, 400 HP and Gives Ghouls Armor Shred.
- BC + IBG is Cheaper than TF + Steraks and gives you instantly 40% CDRCombine this with Transcendence and buy DD/Visage or other CDR items and you scale harder.
- BC - Gives you DMG, HP, Tank Shred and CDRIBG - Sheen Proc on Q, Mana, Armor and AoE Slow, DMG and CDR.Spirit Visage - MR, HP, Increases healing from Q and DD/Sanguine/Conq and CDR.Meaning with these 3 items you have everything you usually need on a Juggernaut.
- With the Addition of Sanguine now, you won't lack Attack speed and Lethality works on Towers and your demolish proc will always be higher due to the HP from BC/Visage/Steraks.
- You can permanently Trap and CC somebody increasing the DPS time for your Ghouls by almost double, Since they can't kite them as much so less autos get cancelled by them or become out of reach, may not be obvious but it Ghouls are also Melee so they are also kiteable, so if you're applying a slow they will stick onto somebody for much much longer.
How to play it?
It's very matchup dependent on wether its a winning/losing matchup or if they're mobile/immobile.In this Example I'm vs Nasus, I didn't fight him in lane since he was midlane, so he was decently ahead, but with the right playstyle you can simply kite him and keep this dog in the cage.
Part one , Notice how I don't engage any closer that I need to and he already gets chunked and shredded instantly, that's the power of the Cleaver.
Part two, Notice how as soon as the first W duration was over, he only had 2 seconds remaining before my W is back up and 1 second before my E is back up aswell, that's the power of Transc and IBG.Because even if they dash away, they are hit by the slow from the Gauntlet, so you can E and perform your W again and just watch them squirm and die.
I'll end this part with a few Gifs to show How I play it fights out with IBC and that you don't need to be in range to DPS and just need to Q off CD with autos inbetween but not too many, just enough to Proc Maiden/Conq/Grasp/Sheen.
That's its power and how you play it, Ghouls do dmg independent of you being aroundE, Trap, AA, walk a bit Q, that's all it takes. Be patient, the dmg is in the Ghouls mostly so take your time as you fight, you're tanky enough to do it. even theGauntlet is enough to win vs APs, though it's not recommended, Just have fun guys, Its Iceborn Cleaver, but you can skip out on Sheen and just go DD or Sanguine some guys, just watch this MF get solo'd by Ghouls.
And since this build is HP & AD heavy outside of IBG ofcourse, it means your ghouls will be able to live longer in the sidelanes and hold waves and shove them out much quicker.You can also release Maiden to hold out Super Minions the Moment you have BC most of the times, just take out the 1st Super minion with her then leave.

Runes & Builds
This will be an edit since not a lot of people actually went to the first link that has the Mobafire Guide with Builds in there, but just since a lot of people are looking at this atm, I'll add a few here for readability, for those that like to process information through imgs.
Overall though, the Main runes I always run is Demolish, If you go into Sorcery then Transc and Gathering storm (Unless you run Ghost aswell then Nimbus Cloak is better here)Most Resolve runes are matchup based, Going Tanky? Conditioning, A lot of Poke? Second wind, Bursty trades like vs Renekton? Boneplating. Only thing you could swap Unflinching for is Overgrowth for more HP stats on your Ghouls and Demolish Proc.The more HP you have the stronger Ghouls are solo in the sidelanes.As for Conq I just always Take Tenacity, but the other two are good aswell imo. (Again I play without flash, so I run a lot of Tenacity)
For the last Runepage, I take Future's Market in these when I'm vs Bully and the enemy team is very snowbally or scary aswell and I want to make sure I can get my Tanky or DMG items early despite being vs a Trynd/Ren/Jax, And most counters are mobile and they buffed Approach Velocity aswell so landing your E or just Q with IBG will secure you more kills here.
I almost always just Farm for 30+ ish cs before I have to back and get Ruby, Longsword and Armor Cloth/Mantle. If I only have 700 Gold, I always prioritize Ruby and some MR/Armor then go into Phage, Kindlegem and finish BC. Ofcourse if needed I'll get Tabis/Bramble early, Dw about delaying BC just play things out. You can also get an early sheen when you're winning then go back to BC.
