Final boss fight not very satisfying?

Did anyone else feel this? I came to DSR from DS3, and found the boss fights much easier in this game in general, but I thought it really amped up with the DLC which I liked. Artorias, Kalameet and Manus were all relatively challenging, and I felt that rush of satisfying adrenaline when i beat them.

I was really excited for the Gwyn fight, having fought hard against Soul of Cinder and knowing the lore connection between the fights, I prepared myself for the final boss battle. Before I knew it, I had beaten Gwyn, I barely got to the second Plin Plin Plon before he was dead, and I was finished the game feeling slightly... disappointed
