Getting XP credit on the Learning Network

I don't get XP credit on some of my elearnings. Does anyone know how the algorithm works? I understand there is a daily XP limit, although I don't know what it is. I wonder if there are other paramaters when XP can be given such as time or the nature of the elearning.

Normally, I wouldn't care about my monthly XP. But now with the virus, we're all constantly on Learning Network and I can tell our completions and the leaderboard are heavily viewed by leadership. So I want to be able to show the work I'm putting in. Has anyone figured out how it works (or does not work)?
