My 3.5 yr old cat was diagnosed with congestive heart failure last week. I need advice
I found out last Tuesday that my 3.5 yr old cat has congestive heart failure. She had an enlarged heart and fluid all in her lungs. They put her on a couple of medicines which helped get rid of the fluid. The vet said she has a heart murmur that she was most likely born with. He also mentioned that there's the possibility that a cardiologist could do surgery or have better medication options. Does anyone have any experience with this that could lend some guidance? If there's a way to prolong her life for a few more years I would love to do that if its going to be decently affordable. The cardiologist is 2 hrs away from my hometown as well. Just not sure what to do.
