I’m confused now

so i have a pretty good knowledge of cars, but i’m stumped now. i have a 2015 ford fusion, and i noticed it had a small leak. I investigated it, and it looks like it’s the oil sending unit, but i’m not quite sure. If i give it gas, it shoots oil out, but idling it’s almost nothing coming out. Can anybody help me with this?

Edit: i realize that with rpms oil pressure will be higher meaning it’ll spurt out. (i’ll add a vid//pic when i can)
