[HELP] Can anyone identify what is in my dog’s vomit and what could have caused it?
I apologize for the gross title and linked pictures in advance. I have looked all over the internet and haven’t had much luck identifying what my dog is throwing up and what caused it in the first place. He is a 5 year old American bulldog mix and is about 90-100 lbs.
I started giving him turmeric chews about a couple of weeks ago to help with his seasonal allergies (itching, ear infections, etc.) A day or two after giving him much smaller than the recommended dosage, his stomach started making very loud gurgling noises in the evening. After that, he began throwing up multiple times in the middle of the night and it looked almost identical to the attached images I provided. I immediately stopped giving him the chews and returned them a week ago.
Last night is the first time he’s thrown up since that happened and everything online points to it being blood in his vomit but could it be something else? It just doesn’t look like blood to me but of course I’m not expert and luckily, I have a vet appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning since he seems to be doing a bit better today. However, he hasn’t eaten his food, which is usually the first thing he does in the morning. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks!
