How i got into sim theory

First let me disclose that I am schizophrenic. I had personal experiences that seem to reflect this life is a simulation of sorts, and this is also a tenet of the religion I follow, Sikhism. It states that this life is "illusion", or "Maya", and that it will disappear when you die. But there's also a notion of family members being "saved" if you have good morals and work hard. So I believe the people can "jump" with you to the other side, but the material wealth stuff is just no better than dust. Experiences are good though, and your character.

The things that gave away to me that this is a simulation are when people started getting all computer-y, using catchphrases wherever I went like "help", "happy", "100", "represent", "machine", and repeating stuff like "angel", "demon", "the chosen one", and other religious lore names. The voices I had were constant and had very repetitive, script-like mannerisms which suggest a computer-aided overlay to this whole experience.

Absent the Truman show-esque experiences and the voices, life does feel fairly real and unconcerned with me, less suffocating in a sense. I do still want some religious protection but not to the point where every thought is being targeted and creating a synchronized experience in my path. It's pretty wonky when the "Holy Spirit" gets that deep in you. Unless you spiritually witnessed what I've been through I can't just relay it through words. The voices can sometimes predict and inform me of things that will happen a second before they actually do, it's situational. Also get synchronicities and things.
