Was wondering why the Monument looked off, and then I realized you had taped over the LEDs.
Those things are fucking obnoxious, I keep meaning to hit mine with a sharpie
I hear you. Need to get the tape out for the Hoof too.
I don’t know what the purpose is to having the lights so bright like that. If I play in a dark room I feel like I’m gonna have a siesure when I look at my board. It doesn’t help that the tempo light is always on.
Playing live on a dark stage.
Itd be much better to just replace the CLR inside the pedal which would make the LED dimmer. It then doesn’t sacrifice the looks of the pedal. Try some values from 5k to 10k
That board looks so good. I can only imagine the multitude of beautiful sounds you can get out of it!
Thanks. It really helps with the badly played blues licks and poor David Gilmour imitations I specialise in. Might try to squeeze a phaser on there.
Hahaha toan makes everything okay 👌
The monument quirk is a programming issue. Sent mine in to walrus and they took care of it.
Thank you. Really wanted an answer to that question.

That eccos seems complicated to use, how is it to actually use?
It's pretty easy really. Everything you need to be able to tweak quickly (delay time, feedback, level; mod depth and rate) are right there on the front. There are secondary functions assigned to the knobs typical of what you would find on a flanger ( regen, manual etc.) but I'd imagine a lot of people will never touch those.
The presets are easy to set up and easy to access. Even I managed it.
Moving between the looper and the delay in a live situation is a bit clumsy. You would have to double stomp the feedback knob. No thanks. But if you are just using the looper for fun at home it's not really an issue.
Really dig this board. I’m looking at both an Eccos and an EQD Hoof as the potential next buys for my board. I’m not a fuzz guy either, but I’ve been digging the demos I hear of the Hoof. Any updated feedback on your feelings with the Hoof?
I feel like it's a bit of a one trick pony. But what a trick!
Haha thanks! I’m not sure if this makes me want it more or less?!
Why does everyone refer to their amp as a “ pedal platform” these days???? It’s an AMP!!!!!!! Lol
Yeah, not one of my better jokes. My bad.
Double Moon > Timmy > Prince of Tone > Hoof > Monument > Eccos.
Too much time on my hands lately so I decided to sell half of my stuff and downsize. Really pleased with how it turned out. It does everything I want it to do and nothing I don't. The board itself is a Pedaltrain nano+ and it's powered by an MXR mini iso-brick.
Double Moon: Super flexible chorus/flanger/vibrato. I use it as a flanger most of the time. The tone control really makes this pedal, allows you to take out that metallic harshness you sometimes get with flangers. Or add more in if that's your thing.
Timmy: This had been my main drive for a couple of years. It's the one pedal I'd grab in a fire. Does everything well. Currently using it as a boost just for a change.
Prince of Tone: My main drive for the moment. Great for low to medium gain sounds. About once a month I switch this and the Timmy to 18V, then decide I don't like it and switch back.
Hoof: Not a huge fuzz guy to be honest but I quite like this one. I haven't had it long so I'm still getting used to it. It really sings, has great low end and you can put some mids back in with the shift control.
Monument: Absolutely love this pedal. The regular trem mode sounds great but the harmonic mode is addictive. I sometimes use it as an overall volume boost as well. It does this weird thing where it won't modulate the volume (i.e. be a tremolo) when it's powered up unless you move the depth knob a little bit. Not sure if that's a feature or a bug, doesn't bother me at all but I'd be interested to hear if other users have the same issue. Also the LEDs may cause blindness.
Eccos: Only got this a few days ago so I'm still learning about it. It's been fantastic so far. I'm really fussy about the transient of delay repeats. I don't like them to be too 'present'. So a straight up digital delay is never going to work for me. I had a Carbon Copy Deluxe prior to this and while it was great for sitting below your sound, it was just a little too muddy for rhythmic stuff. The Eccos seems to me a happy medium, stays out of the way but not too out of the way. Since flanger is my favourite effect, a delay with flanged repeats is always going to be a winner with me. Sounds tapey. It can store three presets which is the exact number I want (slap back, medium, long) and they are easy to get to. The built in looper works great (120 seconds in mono) and you can use the delay and the looper at the same time so it's not a pointless addition. A really great delay that doesn't give you option paralysis.
