About how many gems needed to get the 3x reward on lap 16-17?
Does anyone have an estimate (and tips) on the amount of gems that you would need to try to get the 3x reward on lap 16-17 as well as what I should be spending gems to speed up on?

Finishing node 3 is possible within the allotted time, but you have to finish the node for the last battle using 3 gems.
Then, node 4 comes. You need 6 league battles and another long fight task.
I suggest before you take on that lap, make sure you’re 3 wins away from winning your current league set. That way, you could win 6 straight pvp battles in one single sitting. Then, make sure you have your free spin ready.
Use your free spin and hope that you’ll clear the node with just this spin.
If lucky and done right, all you need is 23 gems.
3 gems from speeding up the last battle from the first battle fights.
Then 20 gems for an extra spin.
But in order for this to happen, you need to be lucky with your spins
Lastly, the last node also needs an extra spin. If not, you might need a lot of spins. Just imagine how many 20 gems would that be. Usually, if I didn’t get lucky with my free spin, I’ll refrain from trying to splurge gems with it. Unless, you have the luxury of doing it.

Think you are being too optimistic. With the lap 16, last node 5 having a 9 hr wait time for 2 tasks, and big pool refreshing don’t think a few gems will do the trick. Unless you spin nets the finish node, it’s gambling on 20 gems per spin.
