Using NVMe/ 2.5” SATA SSD on MSI Z170a m7

Hi everyone,

I recently got a 1TB NvMe to supplement my 500gb 2.5” SATA SSD. Now I think I made a mistake because apparently the z170 can’t support two SSD unless they’re both m.2. Can anyone confirm this for my peace of mind based on the user guide, just want to be sure. As a follow up, if I did make that mistake I’d rather clone my 2.5” and use just the NVMe, is that process the same like cloning other drives? The 2.5” also has my OS which is a little concern.
