Its some kind of attachment, but for $30 I would grab it. Curious to see what exactly it is though. Or at least ask for better pics

That looks like a third party accessory

The bottom part of backside is a bunch of audio and video input types, like there’s four red/white/yellow ports. No idea why you would need more than one. And it definitely looks like they’re attached, like it’s built into the console. I posted a link in this thread.

Either way, it’s about an hour and a half away from me and I’m not going to pick it up unless it’s guaranteed to be worthwhile.

Pretty sure Jeff Bezos followed this method. Take no risks, profit.

It sounds like an AV switch, judging by the four buttons on the front to select the input. You plug all your consoles into it so you only need to use one input on the TV.

Id pay $30 just to get to the bottom of it.

That's a third party accessory that is an AV switcher (not much different from any other AV switcher) but it attaches on to the bottom.

Ok, thanks for letting me know!

Definitely pick it up and investigate.

Noticed this as well on FB Rummage Sale. Looks like it's the Intec AV Selector per this Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmYkyWEzDEk

Oh wow that’s it. Thanks for the info!

No problem! It was fun to investigate! Definitely an interesting piece for sure.

Buy it. Figure out what it is and report back to this post 👍🏽

I'd say it looks like a third party fan attachment type thing. But as others have said, $30 for an OG xbox, that's pretty good.

The OG xbox is the easiest console to get for cheap right now. I have 5 sitting beside me right now. I get them at thrift stores for $5 all the time. $30 is not a good deal.

Now for this attachment I would pay $30. I've never seen it before and all the extra outputs are nifty. Or if it was a halo CE edition $30 would be an absolute steal.

You just made me comprehend how horrid the pickings are 'round where I live.

Ah well, I already got me an OG xbox since it released way back, so not like I'm keeping up with prices tbh.

I have no idea what this is. It doesn’t look like a development kit at all. The backside has multiple AV inputs as if it would output to several different screens at once.

Here's the backside https://imgur.com/VEK7loJ

It's basically a bunch of A/V inputs... which doesn't make sense for a console that just needs one of each input type.

It's an av switch box that for whatever reason was moulded like an Xbox, it even has its own separate power plug.

Is that a separate (1 pin male) power input under the regular 2 pin power input?

If that's the case i would think this was just a hobby project of someone.

Interesting... yeah I can’t tell what it is.

Oh, if it has ports in the back, it's probably a video switcher made to look flush with the xbox.

It looks like it might be some kind of dev kit. I have never seen that before.

Dev kits, were big silver tower PC things(later ones were clear cases labeled as development) and debug units looked like the halo console, that said debug kit.
