it’s honestly impressive that pat managed to barely mention van weezer while talking about van halen
i dont know if theyre even allowed to talk about it that much. plus, in the guitar magazine article rivers was interviewed for, he says that while it is inspired by van halen, its more inspired by that genre of music than just them basically.
still, wouldve loved to hear pat talk about it from his perspective. of all the band members, id be sure that hes the most excited for this
no there not
i skimmed through the entire podcast and theres not much talk about van weezer (could have missed something though) besides it being influenced by 80's rock.
still, hearing pat say hes excited for the future and that he believes theyre on a stride gets me pumped even more for van weezer and ok human!
Man almost feels like they’re never gonna stop, we already know about three albums and who knows how many more they’re gonna make. Very excited for the future of weezer, especially if they are too
Rivers has said he’s going to do it until he’s sixty years old, so we’ll probably have at least ten more years of weezer.
Awesome, can’t wait to see what they do
I've not really been on this sub much in a while; three albums? I knew of Van Weezer (of course) and OK Human, but not another one
Rivers mentioned the third one in an interview with Guitar Player magazine. He said that he started working on songs for an all acoustic album that's supposed to be happy and folky.
