NeilasOPR720 + RTX4000 ESXi 6.7, R720xd 90TB•

Front

  • Ubiquiti Gen2 Cloudkey in Rackmount
  • Dell PowerEdge R720 running ESXi 6.7 U3 as my main VM host which runs Plex with GPU passthrough and a number of other things
  • Dell PowerEdge R720xd, testing Unraid with a H310 minicard flashed to IT mode
  • Dell PowerEdge R720xd, WinSvr2016 Core, 9x 14TB WD Ultrastar DC HC530s, as my main file server where all my Plex media is stored
  • APC Smart-UPS 2200VA UPS with Network Card
  • APC Smart-UPS 2200VA UPS with Network Card

Back

  • Ubiquiti UniFi US-24-250W PoE Switch which powers my UniFi AC-HD AP
  • SuperMicro SuperServer 5018D-FN8T running PFSense 2.4.5, 32GB DDR4 ECC, 512GB SSD. I know its hyper-overkill but I'm planning on moving to somewhere with 10Gig Fiber

Blanking panels are by APC which I got for free from my work when we moved datacenters. Cable management panels are by Startech.

Very clean. I'm thinking about picking up Dell Poweredges but low sound and power are something I very much appreciate. Then again, I can run all my daily VMs (besides Plex) off a raspberry pi 4 :p

They're in a separate room on the opposite end of my house so noise isn't an issue, at least for me.

This is how it's actually done. Router and switch rear mounted and all.

Very nice.

Yeah, for a while I used to think front mounting was the way to go, but after having to rear mount stuff for work, I've come around.

BTW this looks way better than my work does...

It mainly comes down to air flow design of the device in most cases.
