I use optics, vents and binocs and most succesful setup for me so far
Same here
Rammer, Optics, VStab.
I'm not dropping vents, I need every bit of boost I can get. The debate is on stabs vs rammer.
Well you're not very smart. Vents is only a tiny boost. Rammer is a massive DPM boost and VStab has a much larger impact on gun handling than Vents.
The best things about the Manticore are the gun and the small size. Equipment only boosts the former.
Being a tiny bit better at passive spotting isn't that important. It's a fraction of a second difference in spotting a moving tank. If you're against an aggressive EBR you're going to get spotted no matter what and spotting them 0.1s earlier isn't going to change the outcome. If you're against another passive LT it just comes down to which side is dumber at crossing the open.
Shooting, on the other hand, is a very direct way to make an impact and actively change the game outcome. Manticore happens to be quite good at shooting, so you should do it as often as possible. Boost DPM & gun handling to make a bigger impact more often.
Edit: Didn't realize you were using Bond/Bounty equipment. In that case, Bond Vents are nearly the same as normal VStab.
Optics/Rammer/Bond Vents is fine.
I run bond equipment but I run Vents/Optics/Rammer/Food
I found Vstab wasn't all that useful as you rarely fire on the move in the Manticore anyway - most of your damage comes from outspotting/ambush first shot shoot and scoot tactics, and due to the low ammo count you're more likely to take your time and not rush shots
Even with standard Vents/Rammer having over a second faster reload and ~200 dpm feels more useful than marginally better dispersion, especially as even with Vstab the on the move dispersion is trash
Idk if you saw my screenshot, but I run full bond/bounty equipment.
This tank reminds me a lot of the old elc bis with the 248mm Apcr pen, so I do kinda play them similar, and the tank couldn't mount stabs in its glory days.
Imma yoink my rammer of the conq and try. Thanks man, i was wishing you would drop a comment on this thread.
Yeah but your aiming circle is smaller on move so you aim faster. Rammer is pointless with Manticore, you shouldn’t focus on DPM in this tank.
My point is you rarely ever fire on the move in the first place due to low ammo count and shit dispersion... 90%+ of your shots will be stationary where Vstab makes near zero difference
Even with a rammer it still has shit DPM, yeah, but over a second faster reload allows you to potentially fire out a second shot before someone makes it to cover/breaks camo and becomes unspotted
For all the talk of dOnT fIrE jUsT sPoT unfortunately you can't rely on teammates so being able to help pump out damage is relevant
I suppose I don't know what I'm talking about though... it's not like I have one of the highest winrates in EU in the thing playing completely solo
Fair point. What’s your ign? I have like 59% wr, 2 MoE and around 250 battles in Manticore. Got to this point without rammer, but maybe if you’re better with it I might change the vstab for rammer.
But like, I’m not using the Vstab to fire on move, just to make the bloom a little smaller. Do I understand Vstab right? It does that, right?
Sorry. Your post has been removed because it is lacking flair or has improper flair.

Don’t. Optics, Vents and Vstab is the only way. Lack of Rammer didn’t change much for me, did 2 MoE already. DPM’ing is not the thing you should focus in this tank, providing smart vision is.
Use food ^^)
