Reddit, give me your best "my parents suck with computers" stories.
A few weeks ago my mother called me and asked me to "get rid of" a program I had installed on her computer a while back. I still had use for it, so, with her leaning over my shoulder I deleted the desktop shortcut. She still won't use tabs in IE(yeah) and gets mad at me when I multitask on my computer because I need to "give it a break because it's tired".
My dad still remains a loyal Mac customer because "they don't get infected and are 110% unhackable"
Edit for a few more.
She thinks 'https' is the end all be all of internet security. Refuses to buy anything on her computer unless she sees 'https' for some reason. She literally thinks there are a team of hackers somewhere in the world stalking her every move waiting for her to slip up and not use the magic https secured page. She should work for PSN. (Edit: guess i didn't word this correctly. I meant anything without an address bar like Steam.)
I caught her changing her background one day to a 250x250 pic of 2 penguins.
She thinks Facebook IM is the COOLEST THING EVER and often messages me even though I'm literally in the next room or right in front of her, talking about how cool it is that we can "type back and forth like this". Love ya mom
