"Retrofitting" a No.1 Kodak Jr.

Should I? I'm in a pinhole craze and tonight I figured out how to open the camera I got a few months back, only to find it has a hopelessly sticky shutter. I love pinholes, but is this camera rare or valuable enough to keep intact?
