I'm redesigning my bicycle for college. Any Ideas?

I'm going to college in the fall and I'm just taking my bike. So I want to make it something more than your normal average college student bike. I don't want it to be hipster or super geeky(my mom already turned down my FLCL VS Dalek bike)- I just want it to be awesome. Any Ideas?(and yes capital I Ideas)
