Got bit by a tick. What do I do?

SEE A DOCTOR. Yes, I know. It was an itty bitty tick, maybe the size of a dot produced by holding a sharpie to paper for a few seconds. It was flat, so it hadn't been there for long.

At first I thought it was just some dirt or something on my ankle and tried to scratch it off. Where its head was attached it kind of held on. So I scratched it harder and just as I pulled it free I realized it was a tick and kind of freaked out and the tick went flying.

There is a little red spot where it was attached. Do I need to see a doctor now? Only the ER would be open at this time, or can I wait until tomorrow, or maybe even later this week or early next? I've never seen a tick before, let alone been bitten by one.
