Epiphany about pokemon...

If a trainer so much as glances at you, they will engage you in combat. If you lose, you wake up in the pokemon center with much of your money missing. This also happens with wild pokemon, and they incessantly attempt to bring you down if you step into tall grass. My epiphany: every person and pokemon in the world is trying to mug you all the time. This world is a terrifying place, a world full of sociopaths stopping at nothing to take your money. Everyone, from children to CEOs to giant caterpillars want to rob you. I think Kanto might just be a post-apocalyptic wasteland full of mutant animals and crazed looters. Thoughts?
