Dear Reddit, now that the WHO has declared that cellphones could possibly cause braincancer, what do we do?
The WHO does not make a claim like this lightly and thus should be taken seriously imho. I know that there's an endless list of items and habits that cause cancer in varying degrees and forms. I'm well aware of that.
But now I'm a little worried. Cellphones are not something our modern society can just give up without major practical difficulties. I, for one, would have a hard time getting used to not having one. But what if the health risks are a real and everpresent danger?
I'm probably overreacting, but I sincerely wonder what should happen now. We can't just ignore the conclusions of the WHO. Anyone else baffled by this problem?
