What are ways that retail stores have lied to you to make you buy more?
Heres mine about gamestop. I decided to buy Battlefield 2 there, because their pre-owned was cheaper than anywhere else. I brought the game to the register and the guy said, "just so you know you cant play online multiplayer at all with pre-owned because EA gives you a one time code and the previous owner used it," and I bought it new, because for some reason I believed him. Lo and behold I did't need the code. He lied to me for ten more dollars. So reddit, what are ways that you have been lied to/screwed?
