Question about Game of Chaos
Card text for the really lazy below :
Flip a coin. If you win the flip, you gain 1 life and target opponent loses 1 life, and you decide whether to flip again. If you lose the flip, you lose 1 life and that opponent gains 1 life, and that player decides whether to flip again. Double the life stakes with each flip.
My question is, assuming astounding luck (or Krark's thumb) is there any reason that you can't actually lose more life than you have with this card? For example if I win ten flips in a row, could I gain 2^9 life even though my opponent only has 20?
I ask because state-based actions happen when a player would gain priority, and the steps of the GoC all happen within the resolution of the spell.
