What item can you NOT travel without?

my photo bag here

i don't always bring all my techy stuff, but that bag is awesome. comes with a poncho and compliant with every airline policy and can fit anything i throw at it (laptop, camera, lenses.. etc etc), while still being pretty compact.

but this is pretty standard. what item (standard or not) does reddit love to bring with them while you travel?
