What creates "crispness" in a track?

I have been trying to figure out what it actually is.. the mix, the recording, the level of compression at this point im not sure. Lately the tracks I have been making seem what i would call blury, not sure if this is what people refer to as muddy.

EDIT: To clarify it feels like every component of the mac miller track is so clear, how do i get that clarity in my track? It seems like the components in my track are not crisp even when played alone. However many of the components in my track are synths i built in logic so i dont see how it could be the recording.
