What is the scariest moment you have ever had in your life?

I was 15 years old and I would walk home from school,(I am an environmentalist!) and I came home let myself in the gate,closed the gate and ran upstairs to go play on the computer, came down to get a glass of Red Diamond Tea, I hear a noise and look up to see a guy pointing at me trying to break in my house he was wearing a neon yellow shirt, drop the glass of tea and called 911. Turns out he was a registered sex offender (The cop had sowed me pictures of him, because he was the only sex offender in a 10 mile radius.), that had apparently was watching me for days according to the neighbor. (the neighbor just thought I knew him for some reason.)The guy apparently fled the county after that and so far he has not been caught. Needless to say, we even uped our security and my parents hired a security guard stay with me all day. Then, 7 months later I got my driver's license and did not need him anymore. I still have bad dreams and get freaked out every time someone bangs on the back door. so Reddit, What was your scariest moment?
